Welcome to the UKZN SMART Centre based at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital (IALCH). The centre provides state of the art simulation based training facilities to Medical, Nursing and Allied Healthcare professionals as well as undergraduate students in the MBChB curriculum.

The SMART centre contains various simulators, including two METI high fidelity human patient simulators and a host of Laerdal equipment providing training on a range of medical areas.

This state of the art centre is rapidly changing the way we train medical personnel.
